2nd May 2017 – Sound Seekers, a UK charity dedicated to helping deaf people in the developing world, has today announced a fundraising event being held at the Bankside Gallery in London on Thursday 11th May 2017 from 6 – 8pm. The evening will provide art lovers with the opportunity to explore newly revealed works from the prestigious Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers‘ (RE), as well as hear from and see the latest works from renowned printmaker Anita Klein. Visitors will also be invited to participate in Sound Seeker’s Silent Auction for the chance to win high value auction prizes.
Showcasing recent art from the Royal Society of Painter-printmakers’ (RE), visitors to the event will see how the exhibition embraces both established and experimental printmaking techniques, designed to inspire artists and delight visitors. They will also see featured works by celebrated printmaker Anita Klein, a past President of the RE and an international artist with works in private and public collections around the world. Exclusive to the Sound Seekers evening, Anita will provide an inspirational speech to visitors, talking about her recent works and unique approach to printmaking.
Another highlight of the evening will be the eagerly awaited, Sound Seekers Silent Auction. Designed to raise money for the charity, the organisation will be auctioning off high value and highly desirable prizes including: An Aston Martin Factory Tour for 4 people; England v South Africa Lords tickets for 4 people, Royal London One Day Final Lords tickets for 4 people, as well as a selection of other great prizes given away during a raffle draw.

To mark the occasion, the Bankside Gallery has generously offered to donate 20% of all sales on the night to Sound Seekers.
This fundraising event will provide vital support for Sound Seekers and their life-changing work. Hearing loss is more prevalent in the developing world, where it has a much greater impact on lives. Sound Seekers currently has multiple projects in five African countries, with the overriding aim of delivering practical solutions, helping children and adults with hearing loss to realise their ambitions of achieving an education or finding employment.
