The new model delivers industry-leading image quality, achieving resolutions of up to 1,800 dpi thanks to its robust structure and high-precision position control. It also supports light cyan and light magenta inks, alongside CMYK, enabling smooth and natural reproduction of delicate gradations such as skin tones and landscapes. In practical mode, the printer can print 19 sheets per hour (710 x 510 mm), offering a fast and flexible digital alternative to screen printing for on-demand, short-run production.

Expanding its creative potential, the UJF-7151plus II e enables emboss printing up to 5mm, allowing richly textured surfaces and three-dimensional effects that elevate both the visual and tactile appeal of printed products. With its new LD Mode, the printer maintains the same level of precision during direct printing on substrates with height differences of up to 10mm, ensuring stable results on curved, stepped, or moulded parts.

Enabling Streamlined, Sustainable Printing

Productivity and cost-efficiency go hand in hand. Mimaki’s printable primer enhances adhesion on materials such as glass, metal, and acrylic while significantly reducing application time. When printing two colour layers plus primer and white, the process is approximately 3.7 times faster than with previous models. The Ink Saving Function cuts ink use by up to 40%, maintaining colour accuracy and image quality while lowering operational costs – making the system both cost-efficient and environmentally responsible.

Supporting customers from both hardware and software perspectives, Mimaki also introduces the Mimaki Application Assistant 2 (MA2). This new integration and management platform provides a central user interface that lists all compatible Mimaki software and keeps production environments up to date, ensuring seamless access to product updates and performance enhancements.

In addition to the new features, the UJF-7151plus II e integrates Mimaki’s proven core technologies, including the Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) and Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) for uninterrupted printing, the Colour Gloss function for achieving glossy or matte finishes without clear ink, and RasterLink 7 RIP software, which supports variable data printing and efficient workflow automation. Designed to meet the demands of industrial-grade production, the printer also features a high-load capacity table supporting media up to 30 kilograms, allowing users to print on heavier, rigid materials than comparable systems. Amsterdam, 21 October 2025 – Printerfabrikant Mimaki Europe kondigt vandaag de lancering aan van de UJF-7151plus II e, een UV-flatbed printer die is ontwikkeld voor direct-to-object printing in industriële omgevingen. Het apparaat is vanaf november 2025 verkrijgbaar via het Europese distributeurnetwerk van Mimaki. De internationale lancering vindt plaats op PRINTING United Expo 2025 in Orlando, VS.

De markt voor digitaal printen groeit snel. Vooral in de custom goods- en industriële sectoren vragen fabrikanten steeds vaker om oplossingen die hoge kwaliteit combineren met kostenefficiënte en duurzame prestaties. De UJF-7151plus II e speelt direct in op deze behoefte en bouwt voort op zijn voorganger. Het model lost drie belangrijke uitdagingen op: het behoud van precisie op hoge snelheid, het printen op gebogen of oneffen oppervlakken, en het reproduceren van 3D-texturen.

Uitbreiding van toepassingsmogelijkheden

De nieuwe printer haalt een beeldresolutie van 1800 dpi en werkt met zes kleuren: CMYK aangevuld met light cyan en light magenta. Die extra kleuren maken subtiele en vloeiende kleurovergangen mogelijk, bijvoorbeeld in huidtinten of landschapsfoto’s. In praktijkmodus haalt de machine 19 vellen van 710 x 510 mm per uur. Daarmee biedt het een snel digitaal alternatief voor zeefdruk bij on-demand productie in kleine oplagen.

Voor 3D-effecten biedt de printer emboss-printing tot 5mm, waarmee rijk getextureerde oppervlakken en voelbare structuren mogelijk zijn die verder gaan dan alleen visuele bedrukking. De nieuwe LD-modus handhaaft hetzelfde precisieniveau bij het printen op materialen met hoogteverschillen tot 10mm. Voorbeelden zijn gebogen flessen, verpakkingen met textuur of gegoten onderdelen met trappen en niveaus.

Productiviteit en kostenefficiëntie

De Ink Saving Function vermindert het inktverbruik met maximaal 40%, terwijl kleurnauwkeurigheid en beeldkwaliteit behouden blijven. Dat zorgt voor een substantiële besparing op de operationele kosten en maakt het systeem zowel kostenefficiënt als milieuvriendelijk.

Mimaki’s primer (de laag die hechting op materialen zoals glas, metaal en acryl verbetert) brengt de printer direct aan tijdens het drukproces. Daardoor is het proces bij het printen van twee kleurlagen met primer en wit 3,7 keer sneller dan bij eerdere modellen. De printer werkt met GREENGUARD Gold-gecertificeerde UV-inkten uit de ELH- en ELS-serie, die vrij zijn van schadelijke SVHC- en CMR-stoffen.

Naast deze nieuwe functies integreert de UJF-7151plus II e kerntechnologieën van Mimaki, waaronder de Nozzle Check Unit (NCU) en Nozzle Recovery System (NRS) die  zorgen voor ononderbroken producties.
