Productivity and cost-efficiency go hand in hand. Mimaki’s printable primer enhances adhesion on materials such as glass, metal, and acrylic while significantly reducing application time. When printing two colour layers plus primer and white, the process is approximately 3.7 times faster than with previous models. The Ink Saving Function cuts ink use by up to 40%, maintaining colour accuracy and image quality while lowering operational costs – making the system both cost-efficient and environmentally responsible.

Supporting customers from both hardware and software perspectives, Mimaki also introduces the Mimaki Application Assistant 2 (MA2). De nieuwe printer haalt een beeldresolutie van 1800 dpi en werkt met zes kleuren: CMYK aangevuld met light cyan en light magenta. Die extra kleuren maken subtiele en vloeiende kleurovergangen mogelijk, bijvoorbeeld in huidtinten of landschapsfoto’s. In praktijkmodus haalt de machine 19 vellen van 710 x 510 mm per uur. Daarmee biedt het een snel digitaal alternatief voor zeefdruk bij on-demand productie in kleine oplagen.

Voor 3D-effecten biedt de printer emboss-printing tot 5mm, waarmee rijk getextureerde oppervlakken en voelbare structuren mogelijk zijn die verder gaan dan alleen visuele bedrukking. De nieuwe LD-modus handhaaft hetzelfde precisieniveau bij het printen op materialen met hoogteverschillen tot 10mm. Voorbeelden zijn gebogen flessen, verpakkingen met textuur of gegoten onderdelen met trappen en niveaus.

Productiviteit en kostenefficiëntie

De Ink Saving Function vermindert het inktverbruik met maximaal 40%, terwijl kleurnauwkeurigheid en beeldkwaliteit behouden blijven. Dat zorgt voor een substantiële besparing op de operationele kosten en maakt het systeem zowel kostenefficiënt als milieuvriendelijk.

Mimaki’s primer (de laag die hechting op materialen zoals glas, metaal en acryl verbetert) brengt de printer direct aan tijdens het drukproces.
