Wesel, October 13, 2026 – ACTEGA, manufacturer of specialty coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants and compounds for the print and packaging industry, today announced two appointments that reinforce its strategic growth ambitions across North America. Edgar Contreras has rejoined the company as Strategic Account Manager – New Business Development within its Flexible Packaging Business Line, while Shawn Hendrix has been appointed Technical Account Manager.

Together, these appointments strengthen ACTEGA’s commercial and technical capabilities across the flexible packaging and labels markets, spanning strategic account development through to hands-on customer support.

Edgar Contreras takes on the role of Strategic Account Manager – New Business Development within the Flexible Packaging Business Line, with a clear mandate to accelerate growth across high-potential, multi-location accounts. In his newly created role, his role spans new business development throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada, alongside international opportunities coordinated with partners in Central and South America.

Edgar Contreras previously held the role of ACTEGA’s West Coast Regional Manager, building a strong reputation for customer focus, deep industry knowledge and a collaborative approach – qualities that make him well placed to develop long-term relationships and expand ACTEGA’s presence in key markets. His work will center on developing account penetration strategies, engaging decisionmakers within complex organizations, and coordinating the company’s cross-border resources to deliver a unified customer experience.

In his new role as Technical Sales Manager, Shawn Hendrix will support customers and develop business opportunities throughout Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and western Tennessee. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry, with expertise across flexographic, digital and offset printing, including over 18 years in plant and operations leadership.

Most recently, Shawn Hendrix was Operations Manager at Genflex Labeling Solutions in Atlanta, overseeing the manufacture of pressure-sensitive labels, tags and shrink sleeves. He previously spent nearly nine years with WS Packaging Group / Multi-Color Corporation as Production/Plant Manager and held leadership roles at RR Donnelley. That breadth of hands-on experience – spanning pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, HP technology, quality systems and manufacturing efficiency – positions him to work closely with both customers and internal teams, translating technical insight into practical results. Shawn Hendrix also holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology – Print Management from Georgia Southern University.
