Screen Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Akihiro Fujii as its new President, taking over from Takanori Kakita who has been promoted to the position of President of the Graphic Arts Company and will now be based at the head office in Kyoto, Japan.

Takanori Kakita has been at the helm in Amstelveen, Netherlands for the last four years and under his stewardship Screen Europe has gone from strength-to-strength. During that time the company has experienced growth in all areas of its business, but particularly in the supply of digital inkjet equipment.

The new President, Akihiro Fujii, has been with Screen in Japan for almost 30 years. He has previously held senior positions in Screen Australia and Screen America, and most recently was Deputy General Manager of the Business Management Division in the Screen Graphic Arts Company at the Kyoto head office.

“It is a pleasure to take up this role, and to have the opportunity to work with the team here in Europe. In particular, I am keen to meet new and existing Screen customers and to develop strong partnerships beneficial to everyone,” states Mr. Fujii. “Digital inkjet has come of age, and Screen have a superb portfolio of products designed to meet the needs of the market sectors we serve.”

Bui Burke, Screen Europe Senior Vice President added, “Our congratulations go to our colleague Mr. Kakita on his promotion. We are very much looking forward to working with Mr. Fujii, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which will help us to continue to build on our success as a leading supplier of digital inkjet products to the high-speed continuous and label printing markets.”

PEOPLE SAY...

“Bespoke stands out among agencies in understanding analysts’ and journalists’ needs, providing useful and usable information to help them understand how new developments may shape future market changes. They facilitate excellent access to the key decision makers, helping to develop relationships which are still important when equipment providers are launching new equipment. Finally, they know how to organise an event to make the best use of available time for a commentator, again providing access to some of the key innovators across the print and packaging supply chains.”
